Purpose, Mission & Values

TLL’s vision is to build a pre-eminent organization of global talent to undertake bio-molecular science research and applications to benefit people in Asia and beyond.

With advancements in the sciences, we can build an inspiring future for generations to come. More often than not, every great discovery can be traced to a small and simple idea. This very premise holds true for TLL, where our beginnings stemmed from a vision to create an environment that is able to nurture small ideas into bigger and brighter breakthroughs.

Quoteicon White

All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it a reality.

TLL is on a mission to harness the power of the life sciences to improve lives.

Inspired by everyday occurrences and surrounding subject matter, TLL has continuously set out to research and understand how organisms function. Through research and development in cell biology, neuroscience, pathogenesis and bio informatics, we have come a long way since our inception to create innovative solutions that enhance our way of life.

Our Values

TLL expects that new knowledge and applications contribute to the well-being of mankind. We value integrity and excellence. We also offer research funding for programmes in line with the strategic focus. TLL welcomes complementary funding from other sources as a market test of research ideas.

TLL supports, nurtures, and challenges our people to be leaders in their fields of science and technology. We proactively attract established and young researchers, train and mentor budding scientists, as well as establish a network of alumni and other scientific and industrial collaborators to innovate impactful applications.

TLL motivates and incentivises talents to continuously strengthen the organisation as they build up their own credentials. We encourage collaborations and partnerships in basic and applied research, so as to multiply our ability to contribute to societies and economies in Asia.
